Let’s Reflect: Walking in obedience

walking in obedience

A quick reflection on the virtues that helped Joshua obey God

Reflecting on the Sunday school discussion today, we looked at diligence as one of the virtues that helped Joshua walk in obedience as seen in the book of Joshua 1 vs 8.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.Joshua 1 verse 8

First, assuming you know God has promised you a new job or distinction in the upcoming exam. Would you still attend the interview or examination? The answer should be yes!

Interestingly, most people would like to possess (take) the land without diligently fighting for it; just as some would prefer to graduate without writing exams or get a new job without attending interviews. Let’s be real friends!

Obedience with diligence is inseparable virtue to succeed in our God-given journey. In fact, walking in obedience does not rule out protocols nor condone laziness.

Instead, walking diligently in obedience could grace our efforts with great success because God's presence is with you!

Pondering on this thought, may I ask if you are obedient to God? Let’s put it this way – are you diligent in your walk of obedience? Beloved, you cannot hold back anymore. The time is now to reflect, listen to God, go out there diligently and win big with Grace!

Shalom !
